Microsil TM technology encompasses patented silane, silanol, and silanate based formulations. These surface treatments dry to touch within 30 minutes to two hours at ambient temperature, forming a 3 to 5 micron thick glass-like film, which chemically bonds to various substrates and exhibits resistance to chemicals, UV, abalation, and abrasion.

Because the chemical bond consumes the surface activity and a glass-like barrier is formed above the bond, Microsil TM technology prevents corrosion and oxidation on the substrate. The surface of the glass-like film is slightly positively charged, thereby providing a surface which will not support the growth of mold.

These glass-like films are extremely hydrophobic and oil-phobic, which results in a treated surface that is easy to clean with just water or mild soap.
